There’s a lot to like in the pairing of dried fruit and chocolate, with floral notes and spice giving the nose more to explore. The palate sounds rich and warming, and that fruit-and-chocolate thread carries through to a long finish. At 61.1% ABV, this is a high-strength whisky, so it may be less immediately approachable than a gentler dram, but the layered character gives it real appeal for an enthusiast.
