Springbank 10 Year Old, Bourbon & Sherry Cask, 2000, 46%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

The pineapple sweetness and oily texture make this an inviting choice, while brine and gentle woodsmoke keep it interesting. I like the way sweet oak and ginger spice lead into a more distinct tobacco-like smoke on the finish. That smoky turn is worth noting for anyone who prefers a gentler finish.
