Stranahan's 250th Anniversary Edition 11 Year Old, 2026, 50%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The contrast between grilled peaches and caramelized sugar on the nose, then dried apricot, toffee and chocolate on the palate, gives this a pleasing sense of movement. I like that the finish brings baking spice and oak rather than simply extending the sweeter notes. It sounds warmly flavoured but still balanced by a drier, spiced edge, which makes this an appealing single malt character.
