88 / 100

Creamy custard, banana and maple set a rounded, pastry-led direction, with vanilla and brown butter adding depth. Fresh garden mint brings a cleaner edge to the sweetness. The finish shifts toward drying wood, pepper and rye spice, so it does not simply trail off as dessert-like sweetness. That contrast is the most appealing part to me. It reads as a composed, full-flavoured single grain, with enough spice and dryness to balance the softer notes.
