Sweetens Cove 22 Tennessee Blended Bourbon, Speyside Scotch Cask, 2022, 57%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The baked apple and dried fruit give this bourbon a familiar, welcoming fruit character, while caramel and baking spice keep it firmly in rich, warming territory. The subtle peat alongside orange and toasted oak adds an intriguing edge without taking over. There’s plenty to enjoy in that balance, though the dry, clinging finish and tart fruit suggest a more assertive close than a soft, easygoing one.
