Talisker’s eight-year age and Scottish single-malt identity sit alongside a very coastal, smoky character. Sea salt and seaweed meet sweet vanilla and stone fruit, which gives the notes some balance. The peppery, fiery finish sounds like a lot, but the mix of smoke and sweetness appeals to me.
