Talisker Stone Label 10 Year Old, 45.8%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

Smoky, coastal character sits beside fruit and spice, giving this Talisker a useful contrast: smoke is not the whole story. Pepper adds another point of difference on the palate, while the long, warming finish keeps the maritime and smoky notes in view. It sounds bold without being one-note; the fruit and spice have a clear job to do, rather than feeling like a crowded list of extras. A straightforward contrast, with plenty of character on both sides.
