The nose keeps to a clear citrus-and-ginger line, while the palate takes a more unusual turn through sour cherries and earthy mushroom, balanced by crunchy pear and warm spices. That contrast gives the whisky more character than a straightforward fruit-and-spice profile. The finish is the strongest point for me: ginger, red tea and tangy citrus peel remain clingy, with the flavours described as growing as they leave. A lively, well-defined finish makes this an appealing Highland single malt.
