Tormore 19 Year Old, 1995, Samaroli, 45%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

The fruit character stays broad rather than pointing to a particular orchard fruit, but it carries through the nose, palate and finish. I like the way developing sweetness is set against spice and cereal richness, giving the fruit some structure rather than letting it stand alone. The floral notes add another gentle layer, while the lingering, warming finish sounds measured rather than forceful.
