Weller Antique 107 Cox's & Evergreen Private Barrel Selection, Cask #008, 2022, 53.5%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

87 / 100

This Weller leans into a rich, full-bodied bourbon character, with concentrated caramel and vanilla set against spice and fruit. The robust oak on the nose carries through to a long, warming cinnamon and oak finish, giving the sweetness a firm frame rather than letting it run alone. My usual interest is in coastal notes, but this has a different kind of depth that still makes a persuasive case through its balance of sweetness, spice and oak.
