Description

A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin. This 10 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich is a pre-closure edition from Whyte & Mackay, bottled in the 1990s.

Very flowery, heathery, lightly sweedy, emphatically salty.
Palate
Firm and dry at first with a touch of iron, slight oiliness and a suggestion of peat, becoming maltier and sweeter with touches of heaather, very slightly spirity.
Finish
