Description

A bottle of Dingle Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. This is the distillery's fourth small batch release and was matured in a combination of bourbon and oloroso casks. This is bottle number 3482. This fourth, small-batch release brings an intense richness and a rush of spice, with tones of dark fruits and figs followed by dark chocolate and a sprinkling of roasted, chopped nuts. The chocolate gives way to returning spice of soft wood and leather notes which glide into a long, memorable finish.

Nose – Intensely rich and inviting. A veritable feast of desserts – sticky toffee pudding, Black Forest gateau and butterscotch ice cream. Palate – Initially sweet with a burst of spice. Dark fruits, figs and raisins come to the fore followed by dark chocolate and a sprinkling of chopped nuts. Finish – The dark chocolate dissipates and the spice returns. Soft wood and leather notes combine to deliver a long, memorable finish.
