The rye and vanilla give the nose a clear grain-and-oak focus, while cherries and apple bring a sweeter edge. The finish sounds warmly spiced and lingering. There is plenty going on, though the combination may lean quite sweet.

Oak sits alongside fruit and spice, rather than defining the character.

The unpeated designation is a useful steer, though the described character centres on fruit, vanilla and spice rather than smoke. That gives it a clear, layered appeal, but it’s not one I’d pick for a smoke-led style.
