Nose
Smooth, complex, very old fashioned with quite some oak but never overpowered by it. Oak, mint, chocolate and other spices. Bread, rye bread. Tropical fruit like mango and blood orange. Leather and shoe polish.
Palate
Smooth, rich, with pepper, oak, leather. Light salinity with a tiny hint of fruit. Apples, blood orange. Bread and a tiny hint of cardboard.
Finish
Long and big, consistent with the palate. A tad more sweet, less like an Island whisky and more like a Highland whisky. Quite some oak and lots of spices.
