Description

Lagavulin continues their 200th anniversary (1816-2016) celebrations with this beautiful Limited Edition release of a well-aged single malt. Aged in Sherry Oak casks for 25 years and bottled at natural cask strength. The bottle is etched with every Distillery Manager who has served for Lagavulin from Walter and John Graham -1836 to Georgie Crawford - 2010 - Present. A truly stunning bottle which is a profound expression of Islay character, non-chill filtered and natural in colour. This limited edition was released in 2016 with 8,000 bottles worldwide.

Palate
Tarry and dark peat, gunpowder tea, sooty and peppery peat smoke, black liquorice, smoked/cured meats, earthy/bracken notes and savoury/sedafood in oyster sauce and stout.
Finish
Dark minty tea, sooty anise, more cured meat and smoked seafood, salty rock pools with bbq embers, long and brooding.
