This is an 18-year-old single malt whisky from Loch Lomond's peated Croftengea range, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2025 by independent bottler The Whisky Jury. It comes from a single Bourbon Hogshead cask (#259) and is limited to 277 bottles. The whisky is presented at 49.2% ABV, offering a balance of fruity notes and peaty intensity.

The soft vanilla and drying oak give this some of the familiar ground I like in a bourbon cask, but the fruit and bonfire smoke take it somewhere different. That balance sounds appealing: plenty of character without the peat crowding everything else out.
