Nose: Initial waves of rich caramel and toasted oak, quickly followed by deeper notes of dried dark fruits like fig and apricot, hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanilla bean, and pipe tobacco.
Palate: Viscous entry coating the mouth with sweet caramel, butterscotch, prominent oak, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, pepper spice, tobacco leaf, leather, and cherry compote.
Finish: Long and lingering with persisting oak and spice fading gracefully into sweet vanilla, dry char, leather, and nuanced tobacco leaf.

The caramel and vanilla make this sound inviting, but the prominent oak and pepper spice give it a bolder edge than I usually prefer. I like how the finish brings the sweetness back with vanilla.
