InkwellSoda18 JunCandied orange and treacle toffee give this a cheerful sweet side, while salty brine and ginger keep it from sounding sugary. That balance is what makes it appealing to me.
saltair kettle15 AprThe bright citrus thread gives this whisky a clear sense of direction: orange lemonade and lemon lead into candied orange and Earl Grey. Creaminess, treacle toffee, and toasted oak add weight, while the grassy, salty finish keeps the ending brisk rather than simply sweet. That citrus-and-grass contrast is the most compelling part for me, and the notes feel distinctly described rather than relying on vague praise.
