The sweet malt and fresh fruit give this a friendly opening, while spice and cereal richness add a little contrast on the palate. The gently fruity, warming finish sounds like a satisfying close.
The fruit character stays broad rather than pointing to a particular orchard fruit, but it carries through the nose, palate and finish. I like the way developing sweetness is set against spice and cereal richness, giving the fruit some structure rather than letting it stand alone. The floral notes add another gentle layer, while the lingering, warming finish sounds measured rather than forceful.
