W.L. Weller Antique 107 Single Barrel Selection, Cask #125, 2026, 53.5%

A Maltiply member's tasting notes and whisky impression.

88 / 100

This bourbon has a clear contrast I find appealing: soft wheated notes alongside sharp baking spices and a chewy, coating texture. Honeyed stone fruit and butterscotch keep the palate on the sweeter side, while dark cocoa, oak spice and roasted nuts bring a long, warming finish. The nose adds vanilla bean, toasted cinnamon and dark caramel, with maraschino cherry giving it a distinctive lift. There is enough grain detail here to make the bourbon character interesting without needing extra ornament.
