A whisky bottling company founded in 2021 to coincide with the announcement of the Dal Riata distillery in Scotland's Campbeltown region. The man behind both projects was Iain Croucher whose North Start Spirits independent bottling company was launched in 2016. This Islay single malt was distilled in 2013 and aged for eight years, before being drawn from ten hogshead casks and bottled in 2021. The distillery remains a mystery.

Roasted nuts and a whisper of ash keep the finish anchored rather than simply sweet. That balance sounds appealing, while the cask’s specific influence remains hard to pin down.
